3gA – Three Days of Architecture 2017 in Pistoia

Now in its sixth edition 3gA – Three Days of Architecture, is a biennial event organised and sponsored by the Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservationists Association (OAPPC) of Pistoia, which will take place from 19th to 21st June 2017 in two important locations in the town: the Sala Maggiore in the Town Hall and the Magazzini del Sale.

Architecture for the arts, the theme of 3gA – Three Days of Architecture is linked to the nomination of Pistoia as Italian Capital of Culture 2017, and the theme will connect three elements that make up the event: meetings (debates, conferences and talks), exhibitions or workshops and, finally, displays of materials and technology by companies in the sector.
The event includes the eagerly-awaited participation of Maurice Nio, architecture historian Francesco Dal Co, architects Susanna Scarabicchi and Renato Rizzi (IUAV Venice), photographer Julio De Matos and set designer Marta Maffucci. It is a broad, packed programme that invites us to reflect on the circular, one-to-one relationship between architecture and the arts focussed on spaces designed for the arts, training and museum display. This is the theme of the contribution by Mara Corradi “Promoting the Arts: Floornature.com and SpazioFMG per l’Architettura” based on concrete, direct experience of the architecture and arts website for the project Floornature.com, and SpazioFMGperl’Architettura, the Milan gallery of the Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti brands.
